12 May GARDEN ROUTE WEDDING ELOPEMENT | Hunter & Stephanie
The Garden Route of South Africa is one of the most popular holiday destinations for both local and international travelers – with good reason. It is a place with magnificent views and hundreds of kilometers of natural forests, cliffs, beaches and mountains.
Hunter & Stephanie was to get married in 2020 with a date that was to be a few days into South Africa’s hard lockdown. Everything had to be cancelled on short notice and they decided to elope by signing the register and to celebrate by doing the Otter Trail. Fast forward over a year later, and regulations were still limiting events. I got a call from Stephanie asking whether I am able to travel to the Garden Route on short notice as they’ve decided to take the dress and suit to the heart of the Tsitsikamma and enjoy a couple’s week away.
They decided to get dressed at the magnificent venue The Fernery, a place you would not find randomly, a place of bliss and no cellphone reception hidden on a cliff with kilometers of plantations to drive through to get to. We spent the afternoon taking photos in the beautiful surrounds, ended off by a dinner at The Fernery.
Thank you Hunter & Stephanie for allowing me to share this special experience with you! I hope you enjoy these few sneak peeks.
