22 Feb CAPE TOWN CITY WEDDING | DAVID & LAURA
Cape Town was the perfect backdrop for Laura & Dave’s incredible city wedding. The day started off at bridesman Tim’s spectacular apartment overlooking the city centre as well as the iconic Mount Nelson Hotel. Laura & Dave’s wedding was not about the details but about the moments and the people who came from all over the world to celebrate with them. I tried something different with this blog as it was tough to narrow so many images down to a few sneak peeks. I’ve decided to do a second section with more documentary images – images that just followed the moments as they happened, so please give the blog some time to load!
As we left for the romantic ceremony surrounded by history in the national library, droplets of rain started falling, making sure the traditional “rain-on-your-wedding-day-is-a-blessing” is fulfilled. The rain cleared up just in time for some quick photos in the streets and company gardens, then off to The Stack in gardens before sunset to have an amazing outdoor pre-reception party under the fairy lights with table mountain in the background. Changing so many venues on a wedding day can be challenging for photography, but a couple who gave me creative freedom made my job extremely easy. Every now and then a wedding comes along that I am sad to leave and this was one of them. Laugther, tears and more laughter was at the order of the day.
Laura and Dave, thank you for choosing me and for trusting me to capture who you are. Your energy and love for this thing called life reflects in every photo. I am honoured to have been part of such an amazing team of service providers.
THE MOMENTS IN BETWEEN – DAVID & LAURA’S STORY IN BLACK AND WHITE
Laura and David’s day had such an incredible energy and I’ve decided to also post a few of my favourite in-between moments from the entire day. There was never a dull moment and it was an amazing experience to capture these.
