David & Hege, Grande Dedale Wellington

David & Hege, Grande Dedale Wellington

Dave & Hege’s wedding awesomeness is hard to describe – if you weren’t there you certainly missed out on the party of the year, if not the decade! Or maybe 3-4 decades at least!

When Hege came up to me late evening, she said that she did not care if it would start pouring now, the day was perfect – and it was! With such an incredible team of service providers though, it was impossible that anything could be less than perfect.

The late-afternoon outdoor ceremony had horses calmly grazing in the background. Dave & Hege could not stop kissing during the ceremony and happy tears were in abundance! The couple only had one request when I met them, and that was that the day was captured in a reportage style without too much posing and direction. This ended up being so easy as not only the couple but also their guests were full of life and fun so there was never a shortage of material. Their reception was an extended canapé hour with no formal seating arrangements, with the band Lee Thompson Jazz Quartet adding to the relaxed atmosphere.

Johan and team from Joan Bloom – A Floral Story transformed this already beautiful Cape Dutch country house garden of Grande Dedale venue in Wellington.

The Girl Dale and Daniëlle Bridal Stylist perfected Hege’s bridal look. Later in the evening DJ Shaun Westwood got the 80’s party going and Johnny Hammann and his Slippery Spoon Kitchen team kept the most creative and tasty food coming. Michelle & team from Red Hot Events co-ordinated everything and did a stellar job.

Congratulations Dave & Hege, what an honour to have been a part of this day, may you relive it in full colour everytime you look at these images and may we work together again in the future!
